Tapio Leppänen
The Purpose of Life is Finding God
Taking the last speaking turn of the evening preceding the Summer Services, Tapio Leppänen of Vantaa wanted to direct those listeners who have been seeking answers to the great questions of life to a linking with the grace of God. Even today people are asking why we are born, why we die and what is the purpose of life. Tapio Leppänen answered as had the Apostle Paul: "So that they would seek God. The fulfillment of human life is gained through communion with God."
In his speech Tapio Leppänen encouraged a seeking listener to grasp the promise in the word of God: "Christ has died for our sins."
To a listener who is searching this simple urging to make repentance may often rise up as an obstacle. The listener may doubt that the Almighty God would approach one in such simplistic fashion. As did the Apostle Paul, so also did this speaker encourage the listeners: "God keeps His promises."
Tapio Leppänen's speech was based upon Paul's words to the Corinthians (I Cor. 15: 1-4).
