Information about the service site
Arriving to the service site by car
Service guests are asked to note the driving instructions below. Abiding by these instructions will enable traffic to flow smoothly and avoid unnecessary traffic congestion.
Guests arriving from northern Finland are advised to drive south of Jyväskylä and Mikkeli, along highway 5 to Vihantasalmi and continuing through Voikoski to the service site.
Guests coming from the east and northeast are advised to drive through Mikkeli, along highways 13 and 15 to Tuohikotti and continuing to the service site.
Guests from the south and southwest parts of Finland should drive from Kouvola using highways 46 and 15 past the Valkeala junction to Kääpälä and then to the service site.
The route from Heinola through Jaala should be avoided. The road that turns from Jaala is in poor condition and parts of it are gravel-surfaced. This road passes through the town of Selänpää.
Reserving sites
Each service site has its own special characteristics. Next summer.s service site in Selänpää has specialties too. The service site includes wide open runways surrounded by semi-cleared forests.
Over recent years, many service sites have had so called mixed areas, campers parking with motor homes and trailers in the same area. This will not be possible this year because the tow-behind caravans will all be parked in the open area near the runways, only tents and motor homes in the surrounding cleared forests.
To avoid interrupting the smooth flow of traffic and to assure ample space for all, guests will not be able to reserve an adjacent space for someone else. People desiring to lodge near another party, should arrive to the service site at the same time together.
Families desiring to lodge near each other should also have the form of lodging for the designated area, for example: caravans in caravans-only area.
Filling the areas
Tow-behind caravans shall be parked in open areas, areas near the runways and adjacent areas cleared and prepared for caravans and vehicles used to tow them.

Motor homes and cars with tents will be directed to sparse forests. |
