Hygiene Committee Reminders
Infections catch and spread easily in any camping area. For this reason, the Hygiene Committee advises service guests to heed the following guidelines:
All service guests:
- wash and disinfect your hands regularly; always before eating and always after using the toilets
- hand soap and disinfectant are in their respective dispensers at the many handwashing sites
- fresh drinking water is available from the cold water taps or in bottled containers at the convenience stores at the service site
- food spoils quickly in the summer heat, so it is risky to purchase family-sized portions for more than one mealtime at a time
For volunteers working in the kitchen:
- remove your watch and rings before coming to your work shift
- if you have an upset stomach or flu, arrange a replacement for yourself
- do not walk outside of your work area while dressed in protective aprons
- stay near your co-workers while on break during your shift (enjoying your meal or coffee break in your designated area only)
- smoking is forbidden in the meal preparation areas
