The SRK Summer Services
The SRK Summer Services are an annual event of the conservative laestadians, lasting four days and draw about 70,000 service guests. These services, like other open services, are free for all to attend without admission fees. Their sole purpose is to gather people to hearing of God's word.
The service program consists of sermons, hymns and songs of Zion. The sermons are interpreted into five different languages plus sign language for the deaf. The services draw guests from the Nordic countries plus Russia, Estonia, Hungary, Germany, Canada and the United States. The vast majority of the guests are youth and children.

The history of the summer services
Originally, the summer services were held in churches and other places for general assembly. The service tent was used the first time for summer services at Kajaani, in 1938. The fourth service tent will be taken into use in Oripää in 2009. Summer services were aired on a public radio broadcast for the first time during the summer services at Kemi, in 1939.
