Moving about the Summer Service site

For safety reasons please take special note of the following restrictions:

Heinijänkän road (Heinijänkäntie) which crosses the service site is closed near the central field to all but maintenance traffic.

Walking is the only permissible way to move around at the service site. Routes that are designated for walking are marked on the area map and are called paths (polku). Please do       not walk on the main roads (paved roads) within the service site.

Please leave bicycles, mopeds and motorcycles at their designated park places. Workers can only use bicycles while they are working.

Please avoid any kind of motor vehicle traffic within the area. Exit the site the same way that you arrived. The speed limit within the service site is 30 km/h.

There are handy and inexpensive bus connections from the service site to Tornio, Haaparanta and Kemi and also to the meeting places so you don’t have to use your own car if you want to go someplace. By using public transportation you can minimize congestion.

The service site is closed to vehicle traffic except for incoming filling traffic for the duration of the night from 1:00 am to 6:00 am.

For the children’s safety, all the large ditches are protected by fences at the service site. The protective fences must remain intact so please do not lean on them or climb over them. The wooden bridges over the ditches are only for pedestrians and maintenance ATV’s. Please do not block the bridges.
