Service Logo

The service gateway, speaker’s podium, and service emblem are based on the message of the service logo

My Lord and my God”, exclaimed Thomas—the disciple who had doubted Jesus’ resurrection—when the Redeemer exhorted him to touch His wounds. The graphical image of the Summer Services is based on this situation, where the Redeemer shows His pierced hands.

The service gateway is comprised of a horizontal slat fence with a cutout denoting the hands on the logo. In addition to depicting what Thomas saw, the service gateway also depicts how “we are healed through Thy wounds.” By merit of the atonement made by the Redeemer, every person has the possibility to become a partaker of the gift of eternal life, and this gift is offered in the living word of the gospel which is heard also at these services. The sheepfold has a gate—the Redeemer—through which one needs to go to enter the kingdom of God.

The theme of the service gateway also appears on the speaker’s podium and the service emblem. The colors are violet, green, and red. Violet is the color of quietude, penitence, and repentance; green depicts life and growth; and red is the color of blood and love.

The Summer Service logo is inviting even a doubting person to hear the gospel—the message of the forgiveness of sins—and to believe it.
