Construction work at the Kauhava Summer Services site will begin on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 8:00 a.m.
Volunteer work days will be organized over a period of two months. Smaller work days take place during the week, from Tuesday to Thursday, with approximately 20 to 30 volunteers. Larger work days are held on Fridays and Saturdays, with a need for about 80 to 120 volunteers.
During May, construction will take place in the outer areas of the site, including structures and fencing, as the airfield will remain in aviation use until May 31, 2026. The runway must not be crossed during May. When moving within the area, access must always be via the perimeter roads around the site.
From the beginning of June, starting June 1, construction work can begin in the main service area.
Supervision, guidance, and work orientation are always provided during the volunteer work days, and meals are arranged for all participants.
If you are able, we warmly invite you to join the volunteer work days. Extra help is especially needed in June! You are welcome to bring a cordless drill and other hand tools with you. You can look forward to enjoyable time together and a shared sense of purpose. Above all, we ask for our Heavenly Father’s blessing on the success of the work and on all Summer Services arrangements!
