The use of a CPAP device for sleep apnea no longer qualifies for an electrical hookup site. Users are encouraged to use battery-powered solutions whenever possible.

An electrical hookup site at Summer Services can be applied for from the organizers based on medical grounds by May 24, 2026. An electrical hookup site may be granted to individuals who have an essential need for a continuous power supply during the night. Please determine in advance whether your medical device can be used with alternative solutions, such as an additional battery or an inverter connected to a car battery. The use of other electrical devices at electrical hookup sites is prohibited.

Applications for electrical hookup sites must be submitted via the secure email service. The application must include the applicant’s name, year of birth, contact information, and the grounds for applying for an electrical hookup site.   Please also indicate whether you will be staying in an accessible area. Access to this area requires an official disability parking permit issued by the authorities.   Applicants will be notified directly after the application period has ended.

The use of a CPAP device does not qualify for an electrical hookup site.

The use of electrically powered medical devices can often be supported with battery solutions, which are recommended as the primary alternative to an electrical hookup site. Devices and aids used for medical treatment may be charged during Summer Services at designated charging points. Electrical hookup sites are no longer provided for the use of CPAP devices for sleep apnea.

Portable battery systems designed for travel use are available for CPAP devices. Depending on the battery capacity, these can power the device for approximately 1-2 nights without access to a power outlet. The battery typically weighs less than 1.5 kg. In addition to the battery, a compatible converter is required for each CPAP device to supply the correct power. The cost of such a system is approximately 300€. For more information on using your CPAP device while traveling, please contact the supplier or distributor of your device.

Accommodation in the Disability Access Area

The Disability Access Area at Summer Services is reserved for individuals who hold an official disability parking permit issued by the authorities. Those planning to stay in the Disability Access Area during summer services are asked to complete a short survey by May 24, 2026, so that the area can be appropriately planned. The survey is available at www.suviseurat.fi/invailmoittautuminen . The survey is not a reservation for a place in the Disability Access Area; it is intended only to estimate the number of people staying in the area.
